The ongoing conflict in Yemen has left ten thousands of people with disabilities and mental health problems, according to the country's Human Rights Ministry.

Iran Press/Middle East: Near ten thousand civilians, including 800 children, have lost limbs because of the Saudi-led devastating aggression against the impoverished nation since 2015, the ministry said in a report on Saturday.

Yemen’s repeated conflicts have brought on a mental health crisis with more than 80 thousands children suffering mental health issues, because of the airstrikes that hit a variety of targets including houses and schools in the country, Iran Press reported citing Ansarrullah's website.

A child in Yemen has already lived through more than 18,000 airstrikes in his or her lifetime. Yet Yemen has barely any mental health services or sufficient support for children suffering from distress.

As war and exclusion continue, poverty increased to encompass 85 percent in the already the poorest country in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Yemen's Human Rights Ministry said that since the start of the war, the unemployment rate has shot above 65 percent.

The Saudi-led military intervention into Yemen began on 26 March 2015 and it has largely been supported by the Western countries despite resulting in the world’s largest current humanitarian disaster. 101
