Spokesman of the Iranian Armed Forces announced that Iran, China, and Russia will start a joint naval exercise in the north of the Indian Ocean and the Sea of Oman, next Saturday.

Iran Press/Iran News: Spokesman of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi told reporters on Wednesday that Iran will hold a joint naval exercise with China and Russia starting on December 27 and lasting for 4 days.

He added that the naval exercise is aimed at boosting international trade, as well as Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, Iran Press reported.

"Exchange of experiences aimed at countering terrorism and piracy are among the goals of the three countries from the joint naval exercise," he underlined.
