Tehran (IP) - Japan's ambassador to Tehran says his country continues to have trade ties with Iran despite the negative effects of US sanctions.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency on Monday, Mitsuo Saito said, Japanese companies are keen to expand their business ties with Iran.

The Japanese ambassador to Tehran made the remark on the sidelines of the Iran-Japan Business Relations Summit, which coincided with the commemoration ceremony of the 90th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relationships between Iran and Japan.

The US government unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in May 2018 to put pressure on Iran to renegotiate the deal.
