Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Road and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami held a press conference on the sideline of The Fourth International Exhibition on Transport, Logistics, and related industries.

Iran Press/Iran news"The fourth International Exhibition on Transport, Logistics, and related industries has kicked off with two different views comparing to the one held last year. One point is applying artificial intelligence and the other one is logistics," Iran's Minister of Road and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami said in a press conference on the sideline of The Fourth International Exhibition on Transport, Logistics, and related industries.

"To increase the organizational health, also increase performance capability, better and more qualified reply to the road ministry's mission, we have set smartening in our procedure."

"Three unveiling ceremony held today. The first one is the automation of the statement of contractors' status. It was completely manual before. 394 companies are under contract with the ministry. 25 trillion is the budget on the contracts. It is for the first time all process is automated," he mentioned.

"The second item is the systems experiments related to soil mechanics which were done manually before and today we unveiled the automatic process which leads to more accuracy and better qualifications," he said.

"These are two important steps achieved by the Ministry of Road and Urban Development and the third one is the 'Passenger satisfaction rating system' and also 'Freeway electronic payment system,' he continued.

In a question asked by Iran Press reporter related to the transportation diplomacy minister Road and Urban Development said: "We have productive agreements toward turkey which we hadn't have in recent years both in railways and roads."

"Toward Turkmenistan, we have developed the railway and also by opening the Sarakhs bridge, the road issue will develop differently," Eslami noted.

"Toward Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, and Iraq, both in common commission and in transit committee we have done special coordinating activities," he said.205
