Hundreds of Palestinians across the Gaza Strip on Friday gathered at the Gaza border to participate in the 83rd weekly ongoing 'Great March of Return' protest.

Iran Press/Middle East: The ongoing Friday protests are part of a larger movement called the 'Great March of Return', where Palestinian activists gather at the border to demand the right to return to their lands they either abandoned or fled during the 1948 war, Iran Press reported.

The Israeli troops attacked the protests, injuring six Palestinians, according to the health ministry’s toll.

Palestinian demonstrators demand an end to Israel’s 12-year-old blockade of the Gaza Strip, which has shattered the coastal enclave’s economy and deprived its 2 million inhabitants of free movement in and out from Gaza.
