Blast in Kabul leaves one foreign national dead

Afghanistan's interior ministry spokesman said one foreign national has been killed in a blast targeting UN vehicle in Kabul.

Iran Press/Asia: Afghanistan's interior ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi said five other people, including two Afghan personnel, were injured in the incident on Sunday evening, Tolo News reported.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the target of the attack was a UN vehicle. The explosion occurred in Kabul’s police district 9 (PD9) near the Makrorayan area.

Eyewitnesses said the casualties were higher than reported by the ministry.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but both Taliban and ISIS are active in the capital and have repeatedly claimed previous attacks.205/201
