The top commander of the IRGC, Major General Hossein Salami in a meeting with the current Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, said the Zionist regime is the common enemy of all Muslim World and stressed on the unity of Islamic countries to counter enemy plots.

Iran Press/Iran news: General Qamar Javed Bajwa who is heading a high-ranking Pakistani military delegation on Wednesday met with the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami in IRGC central headquarters in Tehran.

According to an Iran Press report, Salami said Iran and Pakistan are determined to improve security along their common (joint) border. Major General Salami also said we defend the entire Islamic world and there is no difference between Shia and Sunni Muslims from the Islamic Republic of Iran's point-of-view.

Improving military and security ties between the two countries, and fighting terrorists along the common border were the main axis of discussions between Major General Salami and General Bajwa.

The top Pakistani General said Iran and Pakistan as two neighbours enjoy many similarities in religion, culture and history as well as joint borders.

He said these common values set the stage for improving bilateral cooperation.

General Bajwa appreciated Iran for fighting against Takfiri Terrorism in the region especially in Syria and Iraq.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Tehran on Tuesday at the head of a high-ranking military delegation, meeting with Major General Mohammad Bagheri the head of the General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, Major General Seyyed Abdul-Rahim Mousavi, the top commander of the Iranian Army, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, and Iran's President Hassan Rouhani.

General Bajwa discussed bilateral ties in the fields of military, security, and defense with senior Iranian officials. 101/205/211
