Iranian female weightlifter Elham Hosseini

Iranian female weightlifter Elham Hosseini succeeded in gaining the first medal for her country in an international competition.

Iran PressIran news:  According to Iran Press, Seyyedeh Elham Hosseini wins a bronze medal on Saturday night on the first day of the 76kg women's weightlifting tournament in Turkey. 

She managed to gain a bronze medal in the women’s 76kg category of the international Naim Suleymanoglu competitions in Turkey.

Hosseini hoisted 88kg in the snatch, 110kg in clean and jerk to grab the bronze medal with a total of 198kg. She also improved the national record by 8kg in snatch and 10kg in clean and jerk.

Weightlifters from Turkey and Turkmenistan bagged the gold and silver medals of this category respectively.
