Injured bus passenger being treated in hospital

Four people were killed and 41 were injured when a heavy goods vehicle collided with a bus carrying Pakistani pilgrims on the road between Nehbandan and Zahedan in southeastern Iran.

Iran Press/Iran News:  According to an Iran Press report from South Khorasan province in southeastern Iran, police has confirmed that the in the early hours of Monday morning, 4:20 a.m. local time, on the road between Nehbandan and Zahedan, a heavy lorry collided with a bus carrying 44 Pakistani pilgrims.

The accident resulted in both drivers (lorry and bus) being killed, as well as one bus passenger and one lorry passenger who also lost their lives. At least 41 mostly Pakistani passengers on the bus were injured. 

According to Colonel Rezaie , the head of Highway Police, the driver of the heavy lorry fell sleep behind the wheel and with the heavy goods vehicle swerving to the left, the accident happened in the early hours of Monday morning.
