Tehran (IP) - Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami said that helpful negotiation has been made with Turkmenistan to promote aims of the joint economic commission.

Iran Press /Iran News: Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami in an interview with Iran Press News Agency about the situation of Iran-Turkmenistan joint economic commission said: Our main goal is to restart our cooperation with Turkmenistan. "We experienced a four years' delay for this commission. This time we were successful to have a very helpful and effective negotiation. We concluded for 8 items in order to start our programs and plans to overcome the difficulties and obstacles which were in our cooperation," he added.

"The major problems were the road transportation, railroad and lack of air transportation between the two countries. Also, we had financial difficulties in the banking system and the joint investments of Iranian and Turkman companies to produce Iranian selected items," Eslami noted.

Minister of Roads and Urban Development added, "More than 50 companies from two countries are active in a special economic forum in Turkmenistan Capital of Ashgabat. They had done negotiations and signed mutual contracts.
