Iranian Foreign Minister said on Monday that grounds for expansion of cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan in energy and transportations are well prepared and both sides are determined to broaden them.

Iran Press/Asia: 'During my stay I had fruitful talks with Turkmen president and foreign minister which focused mainly on issues of mutual interests along with regional and international developments,' Mohammad Javad Zarif said at the end of his visit to Turkmenistan.

Iran and Turkmenistan enjoy amicable and extended relations as two neighboring countries, he said, Iran Press reported.

In these series of talks both sides agreed to broaden cooperation in transportation, energy, transit, economic cooperation, fight against drug trafficking and other relative sectors.

Expansion of cooperation on cultural sector will be to in the interest of both countries as well as people in the region, Zarif said.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Ashgabat on Sunday and conferred with the country's president and foreign minister on issues of mutual interest. 

Zarif left Ashgabat for New Delhi on Monday to confer with the country's high ranking officials on issues of mutual interests along with regional developments. 105
