Iran Press/Iran News: Chief of Police for International Affairs and Director General of Interpol Tehran Hadi Shirzad was the chief guest. Director-General for West Asia at Iran's ministry of foreign affairs Rasoul Mousavi as well as a number of diplomats, Iran's high-ranking officials, and dignitaries attending the ceremony.
Pakistani ambassador to Tehran Ms. Riffat Masood welcomed the initiative of Iran and Pakistan to open FIA offices in both countries to counter human trafficking, smuggling, illegal immigration, and banking frauds, Iran Press reported.
She lauded that such cooperation and collaboration between Iran and Pakistan will curb human trafficking and smuggling through borders and it will enhance trade and commercial activities between the two countries.
Brigadier General Shirzad praised the friendly relations and historical, cultural, religious, and security commonalities between the two neighbors. He emphasized the importance of the promotion of bilateral cooperation and fighting against transnational crimes, particularly in the police cooperation area.
He said that it is necessary to use the diplomatic capacities to the establishment of sustainable security between the two sides.
