Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman called on Germany to stop its support to the Zionist regime’s crimes and mind contributing to the process of establishing peace in the region.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an online statement on Wednesday, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Seyyed Abbas Mousavi had a backlash to a recent statement by Germany's Foreign Office, saying that Berlin must put an end to its support to the crimes of the Zionist regime of Israel and live up to existing expectations of an effective and constructive role in helping to establish a sustainable peace and stability in the region.

The German statement was issued in reaction to remarks made by the chief commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Hussein Salami, who said on Monday the Israeli regime is on its path toward collapse.

Referring to the devastating crimes of the Zionist regime in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, Mousavi noted: “The Islamic Republic of Iran considers reducing tension in the region to be possible only when all parties stand against the destructive, meddlesome and inhumane actions of the Zionist regime.”

The Foreign Ministry spokesman further stressed that Iran will continue to support the oppressed nations of the region, including the Palestinian people, based on its adherence to humanitarian and Islamic values.
