Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrives in Moscow

Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in the Russian capital, Moscow late on Sunday night to hold talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

Iran Press/ EuropeMohammad Javad Zarif  who is in Moscow heading a high-ranking political delegation, will meet Lavrov on Monday.

According to an Iran Press report, the two foreign ministers are to discuss bilateral ties, regional and international issues, including the situation in Syria, Afghanistan, the current situation in Yemen and also the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Zarif's current tour will also take him to Bangladesh and Indonesia.

Iranian foreign minister earlier visited China, Japan and Malaysia, and talked about bilateral relations and regional and international issues with senior officials of the countries.
