Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart will meet in Moscow on 2 September for talks on the situation in the Persian Gulf.

Iran Press/Europe: Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova said the ministers will discuss their countries' bilateral relations, as well as exchange views on regional issues including the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, Reuters reported.

Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met in Yokohama on Wednesday, discussing bilateral ties, recent developments about Iran nuclear deal, other regional and international issues such as tensions in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East and the diplomatic shuttling concerning the US economic terrorism.

Earlier, in a separate meeting, Iran's Foreign Minister and his counterpart Japanese Foreign Minister Kono Taro discussed bilateral ties, regional and international developments, as well as the latest diplomatic developments regarding the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Zarif will continue with his tour leaving Japan for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday.
