Iran FM Mohammad Javad Zarif

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif departed Tehran for Moscow on Sunday afternoon, heading the high-level political delegation.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif , will hold talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov on Monday. 

During the visit, bilateral cooperation issues will be discussed and the focus of the talks will be on international issues such as JCPOAPersian Gulf, Syria, Afghanistan, and Yemen, Iran press reported.

It is expected to address a wide range of issues of the partnership between Iran and Russia, including economic and trade cooperation and collaboration in the fields of energy, transit-oriented bilateral cooperation projects, as well as cultural, humanitarian and other issues.

Earlier on August 28, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova said the ministers will discuss their countries' bilateral relations, as well as exchange views on regional issues including the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, Reuters reported.

Iran' s Zarif is going to leave Russia for Bangladesh and Indonesia within next days.
