Speaker of the House of Elders of Afghanistan (aka Mesherano Jirga) in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister called for boosting ties with Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Highlighting the historical, cultural, lingual and religious closeness between Tehran and Kabul, in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday, Speaker of the House of Elders of Afghanistan Fazal Hadi Muslimyar asked for further mutual cooperations in all fields.

The two sides also discussed a range of issues from the bilateral relations to the latest developments in Afghanistan, Iran Press reported.

The high ranking Afghan parliamentary delegation has visited Tehran within the framework of parliamentary cooperation between the two Muslim neighbors.

Australia, Bangladesh, UNICEF envoys meet with Zarif

On the same day, Australian Ambassador to Iran, Ian Biggs at the end of his tenure had a farewell meeting with Zarif.

Also, the United Nations Children Funds (UNICEF) new representative in Iran, Mandip O'Brien, as well as Bangladesh new Ambassador to Iran, AFM Gousal Azam Sarker, submitted their credentials to Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif on Sunday afternoon. 104/208
