Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations said that US efforts to accuse Iran of violating UNSC resolution 2231 would not succeed.

Iran Press/Iran news: Majid Takht-e Ravanchi added that the US through dialogue with the members of the UN Security Council and the UN Secretariat has tried to create a negative atmosphere around Iran's missile activity.

He made the remarks in an exclusive interview with IRIB on Thursday, Iran Press reported.

Explaining that Iran's missile program has nothing to do with UNSC resolution 2231, Takht-e-Ravanchi added that the resolution asked for not manufacturing or designing nuclear warhead missile.

"Iran has repeatedly stated that its missiles have not been designed to carry nuclear warheads," Takht-e-Ravanchi concluded.

Iran Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a tweet on Dec. 3 that US is falsely accusing Iran of violating UN Security Council 2231 resolution while it has earlier breached the same resolution. 105/201
