The Iranian foreign minister has said Tehran is seeking to develop its relations with Qatar.

Iran Press/Middle East:  Mohammad Javad Zarif who travelled to Doha to attend the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), took part in Qatar's Emir's dinner on Tuesday night.

In his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Zarif said Tehran and Doha are considering expansion of their bilateral relations, Iran Press reported.

The Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) started in June 2002, as Foreign Ministers from the original 18 member countries initiated an informal non-institutional forum to enhance cooperation within Asia. One focus of the ACD member economies, which has grown to 28, is on finance.
