Iran Press/ Iran News: Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei wrote in his Twitter account: "While emphasizing the jurisdiction of the Iranian courts in dealing with the Ukrainian plane incident, the decision of the Canadian domestic court has no legal validity due to the deviation from the territorial jurisdiction."
"Otherwise, Iran's national courts will have jurisdiction over various incidents in Canada and the prosecution of Canadian authorities," he added.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh had commented on the Canadian court ruling on the crash of the Ukrainian plane, calling it baseless and without objective evidence.
The Supreme Court of Ontario, Canada, last Thursday, following the false and unreasonable claims of the Canadian authorities, declared that the crash of the Ukrainian plane in Tehran skies was a deliberate act.
On January 8, 2020, a passenger plane belonging to Ukrainian Airlines crashed near Tehran, killing 167 passengers and nine crew members.
Most of the passengers were Iranian nationals, and 32 passengers also had passports from five countries: Canada, Afghanistan, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Sweden.
