Bahrain (IP) - The protest of the people of Bahrain against the Israeli regime canceled the celebration of the so-called Jewish festival of Hanukkah in Manama, the capital of the country.

Iran PressMiddle East: Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday celebrated for eight days, almost the same as the Christian Christmas.A large-scale demonstration by Bahrainis was held on Sunday evening near Bab Al-Bahrain, condemning the normalization of relations between the Al-Khalifa regime and the Israeli regime and the holding of Hanukkah celebrations in Manama.

The protesters chanted “death to Israel” and" Down with the US" to voice their opposition to the celebration of Hanukkah in the country.

The demonstration led to the cancellation of the first Hanukkah celebration in the center of Manama, which was supposed to be held on Sunday evening in Bab Al-Bahrain. Bab Al-Bahrain is located in downtown Manama and is the main entrance to the city's main mall. Earlier, the people of Sitra had held a demonstration condemning the Al-Khalifa regime's decision to celebrate Hanukkah.
