The protesters chanted “death to Israel” and" Down with the US" to voice their opposition to the celebration of Hanukkah in the country.
The demonstration led to the cancellation of the first Hanukkah celebration in the center of Manama, which was supposed to be held on Sunday evening in Bab Al-Bahrain. Bab Al-Bahrain is located in downtown Manama and is the main entrance to the city's main mall. Earlier, the people of Sitra had held a demonstration condemning the Al-Khalifa regime's decision to celebrate Hanukkah.
