Tehran (IP) - The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei, described Palestine as the most universal human cause and still the most critical crisis for humanity. He called on countries to support the legitimate struggle of the people of Gaza.

Iran Press/Iran news: On the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Esmail Baghaei wrote on his X account: "Palestine is the most universal human cause and remains the foremost crisis of humanity, symbolizing lost rights and numerous broken promises."

He went on to say, "On the Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we pay tribute to the legendary resistance and perseverance of the Palestinian people against long-term occupation and apartheid, which has been accompanied by brutal genocide over the past 14 months. The 'colonial eradication' plan is now violating the fundamental right to life of the Palestinian nation in the most ruthless manner."

He stressed that the global community has a legal obligation and moral duty to support the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people for self-determination and the right to live in peace and dignity, both through words and actions.

The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is observed annually on November 29. The United Nations General Assembly designated this day in 1977 to highlight global awareness of the Palestinian community's struggles.
