Iran Press/Asia: China's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying said the US accusation against the Xinjiang region on the issue of human rights is the biggest lie of the current century.
She made the remarks in response to a claim of the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who accused China of restricting visas for some of the staff of Chinese technology companies due to human rights violations.
Hua said these are the people of China who should judge the status of human rights in their country, not a bunch of US policy-makers.
"Since 2001, the United States has waged military operations in countries such as Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Afghanistan that have killed more than 800,000 people and left tens of millions homeless. Within the United States, ethnic minorities such as African-Americans face a difficult human rights situation," she
asserted.
