Iran won over Australia in a hard-fought 3-1 at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Men's World Cup.

Iran Press/Asia: Iran defeated Australia 25-22, 25-18, 25-18 on Saturday, at White Ring arena in Nagano, Japan.

Iran now ranked seventh with two wins after four matches and will face Brazil on Sunday, Iran Press reported.

Japan hosts the event for the 12th consecutive time since 1977.

The 2019 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup features 12 national teams from the five continental confederations playing in Nagano, Fukuoka, and Hiroshima in a round-robin format from October 1 to 15.

The Men's World Cup kicked off for five-match days in Fukuoka and Nagano before teams move to Hiroshima for the remaining six match days. 101/207
