The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated, Tehran is prepared to engage in productive and prompt discussions concerning its nuclear program, with the goal of reaching a mutually beneficial agreement.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with China's CCTV, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi stated, "We are prepared to recommence discussions on Iran's nuclear program. We engaged in sincere negotiations with the P5+1 nations for over 2 years, ultimately achieving an agreement that was widely accepted and lauded globally as a diplomatic triumph."

He further remarked, "We initiated it with sincere intentions, yet it was the United States that opted to withdraw from it without any rationale or justification, leading to the current state of affairs."

Araghchi stated, "We are prepared to engage in constructive discussions promptly concerning our nuclear program, with the objective of reaching an agreement."

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran elaborated, "In our view, the formula that stands is akin to the previous JCPOA formula, which involves establishing trust regarding Iran's nuclear program in return for the removal of sanctions. Based on this premise, we are prepared to engage in negotiations."

Araghchi mentioned, "Discussions have taken place with European nations in one round of negotiations. The subsequent round involving three European countries is planned and set to occur within the next two weeks."

He explained, "Regarding the United States, it is expected that the new government will shape its policy, and our decisions will be influenced by it. China and Russia were pivotal participants in previous negotiations, and from the standpoint of the Islamic Republic of Iran, they should maintain a positive role in these discussions. This is our aspiration and determination."

Leaving the JCPOA was a Huge Strategic Mistake for the US

Aragchi further stated, "It has been a decade since 2015, and numerous events have transpired. The United States' withdrawal from the JCPOA was a significant strategic error for the country and elicited a response from Iran. Despite the escalation of US sanctions and the crisis in the West Asian region, the avenue for diplomacy remains open."

He further stated, "As a diplomat, I hold the belief that diplomatic resolutions can be achieved even in the most challenging circumstances. However, this is contingent upon the level of political determination present and the extent to which diplomats possess the ability to innovate and take initiative in discovering novel approaches and reaching new agreements. If there is political will on both sides, reaching a resolution may be challenging but not insurmountable."

Decisions regarding Syria Unswayed by Superficial Changes or Rhetoric

The Foreign Minister further stated, "Decisions concerning Syria will not be influenced by external changes, words, or slogans. We are awaiting the transitional government to declare its policies regarding the region and other nations and to achieve adequate stability. Our decisions will be based on actions."

Araghchi added: "How we will interact with Syria depends on the behavior of the other side in Syria; Iran has complete goodwill and wants peace in Syria. We want to help stabilize Syria and ensure the security of all ethnic groups in Syria."

Araghchi further stated, "Our approach towards Syria will be determined by the conduct of the opposing party in Syria; Iran holds genuine intentions and seeks peace in Syria. We aim to contribute to the stabilization of Syria and safeguard the security of all ethnic groups within the country."

He emphasized, "It is imperative for all regional nations to collaborate and support the formation of an inclusive government comprising all ethnic and factional groups in Syria, while safeguarding the country's territorial integrity and unity."

Araghchi added: "Syria should not become a place and a haven for terrorists and a threat to its neighbors and the region. These are all principles that everyone in the region agrees on."

Araghchi emphasized, "It is imperative that Syria does not transform into a sanctuary for terrorists posing a threat to its neighboring countries and the wider region. These principles are universally acknowledged by all parties in the region."

Iran's top diplomat stated, "The ultimate decision rests with the Syrian people as they are the primary authorities in Syria. Our role is to assist them in making informed decisions and to witness a Syria that thrives in peace and harmony with its neighboring nations."

Iran and Saudi Arabia are currently experiencing positive developments in their relations.

Araghchi added: "Iran-Saudi relations are on a very good path, and both sides are satisfied with the reestablishment of relations and see benefits in these relations. Of course, there is a lot of potential in the relations between the two countries that has not yet been used, and I think the path of relations between the two countries is gradual and slow, but continuous."

Iran are fully prepared to confront renewed threats from Israel

The Foreign Minister added: "We are fully prepared to confront renewed threats from the Israeli regime. I hope that such madness will not be carried out by the Zionists, because the result will be an all-out war."

Araghchi emphasized: The Israeli regime has not achieved its main goal during its attack on Gaza. Israel entered Gaza with the aim of destroying Hamas, but today it is forced to negotiate a ceasefire with the same Hamas.

The Future of the Resistance Remains Bright

The Foreign Minister continued: "In my opinion, the future of the resistance remains bright and Hezbollah in Lebanon is constantly rebuilding itself.

Araghchi added: "Hezbollah in Lebanon is also present as a political force in the Lebanese arena and has a large social base. Hezbollah has a strong political presence in Lebanon and will continue to do so."

Iran and China Enjoy High Level of Relations

He continued: "My trip to China is my first bilateral trip outside the West Asian region, and Beijing was chosen within this framework, due to the importance we attach to relations with China."

The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized: "One of the signs of the very good relations between Iran and China is the high-level interactions that are taking place between the two countries. One of the most important of these is the meeting between the presidents of the two countries that was held last month in Kazan, Russia."

He said: "In addition to bilateral cooperation, Iran and China also have close consultations with each other on regional and international issues. During the meeting I had with the Chinese Foreign Minister in this trip, which lasted about four hours, we had consultations about regional developments and how to deal with these issues and cooperate with each other in this regard."
