The Arab League announced that it will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, to investigate the situation in Palestine and the Zionist regime's attack on Jenin.

Iran Press/Middle East: The Council of the League of Arab States will hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday, at the level of permanent delegates, to discuss the latest developments in the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

The meeting comes upon a request from Palestine in coordination with Egypt and Jordan, said the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the Arab League Muhannad Al-Aklouk.

It comes in light of the continuing brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people throughout the cities, camps and villages, Al-Aklouk added.

Israeli forces attacked the city of Jenin earlier on Monday, martyring nine Palestinians and injuring over 50, so far.

Al-Aklouk noted that the meeting is set to discuss effective means to stop Israeli aggression, hold the perpetrators accountable, and request international protection for the Palestinian people.

Neighbouring Jordan called the raid “a clear violation of international humanitarian law”, while the United Arab Emirates urged “the immediate halt of repeated and escalating campaigns against the Palestinian people”. 219
