Iran's Foreign Minister has criticized Europeans for not having a strong enough political will to stand up to US unilateral sanctions.

Iran Press/Iran news: "A year after America's unlawful abrogation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Europe can't muster the political will to defy US #EconomicTERRORISM. Not even by setting up a single banking channel for humanitarian aid," Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted on Wednesday.

"E3 are instead busy appeasing @realDonaldTrump by pressuring UN over our defensive capabilities," Zarif added according to Iran Press.

Iran's Foreign Minister said in another tweet on Monday that the US is waging economic terrorism against the Islamic Republic by imposing restrictive measures that are hampering the relief effort meant to help the flood-stricken people across Iran.

In his annual speech in holy city of Mashhad on March 21, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that Europeans made excuse to evade their commitments and even went as far as imposing new sanctions on Iran.

"They did not resist on the pretext of numerous excuses. Not only they did not stand up to the US, they also practically withdrew from the JCPOA even though they had insisted that we should keep to it. That is, they even imposed new sanctions against Iran," he said.
