Iran Press/Iran news: Major General Hossein Salami on Wednesday in a ceremony in West Azerbaijan province said the enemy has put us under economic pressure and is hoping Iran will surrender to its economic aggression, but the Iranian nation under the capable guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution will turn these threats into an economy not reliant on oil (an oil-independent economy).
Major General Salami warned that America's offer of negotiations with Iran is really a ruse -- a deceptive offer which is meant to lower our morale and break our resistance.
According to an Iran Press report, the top IRGC General declared: "The enemy wants our defeat and our surrender because negotiations with the US is nothing but deception and is a way for the enemy to dominate us."
Major General Salami stressed that the Iranian nation is aware of the enemy's deception and lies. He added: "We should understand this reality that we should resist because our economic and defensive power, and our honor, depends on resisting the enemy." 101/211/205
