Iran Press/ Iran News: Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan Bahador Aminian added that Chabahar Port is able to expedite export and import of Afghanistan.
According to Iran Press, Iran's ambassador to Afghanistan stated Chabahar Port could facilitate export and import of Afghanistan due to its strategic location and connection to high seas.
Aminian also noted that the port can play an important role in the economic development of the landlocked country of Afghanistan.
In a meeting with the governor of Chabahar on Thursday, Iranian high ranking official went on to say, “We will provide facilities and infrastructure for export and import through the port of Chabahar.”
Iranian diplomat noted that Iran and Afghanistan are stressing on development of economic, political and commercial ties and the volume of trade will rise through facilities in Chabahr Port.
Iran's ambassador highlighted, “Afghanistan is one of the most important hubs in the production of agricultural products and Chabahar can export fresh and dried fruits to different countries.”
He called on local officials, especially the governor of Chabahar to pave the way for attracting investment and cooperation with Afghan businessmen so that 'we could witness their exponential presence.'
The governor of Chabahar Rahmdel Bameri also said that 'we will support any foreign investment, especially Afghan economic activists in this regard'.
Chabahar's governor noted, 'Chabahar has special conditions in terms of economics, trade, imports and exports to neighboring countries'.
Rahmdel reiterated that "Chabahar also has proper capacities in terms of fisheries, agriculture, and mines. These will contribute to the development of Chabahar and improving Afghanistan's economy and employment through investment in Afghanistan's private and public sector and further cooperation."
