Iranian Parliament Speaker Special Aide on International Affairs said with the sanctions failure by Iran, Turkey and Russia, EU will gain self-confidence to reduce its reliance on the US.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Parliament Speaker Special Aide on International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian wrote on Twitter on Friday that Iran, Turkey and can teach Europe to not rely on the United States and pursue an independent foreign policy.

"Iran, Turkey and Russia could bring sanction to its knees. When defeated, Europe will gain confidence and could start its new political life with less reliance on the US," he added in his post according to Iran Press.

By using the new opportunities, we have to establish new arrangements in the international politics, Amir-Abdollahian emphasized.

The United States is using sanctions policy to put pressure on other countries, including those that are challenging US action in the region, including Iran, Russia and Turkey.

On Dec 20, 2018, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdo?an voiced deep concern over US unilateral. 

In a joint statement at the end of the 5th Meeting of High Council for Iran-Turkey Strategic Cooperation in Ankara they stressed that they would take any measures necessary for increasing the volume of trade between the two countries to reach the $30 billion target.

Also on Dec 18, 2018, The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Washington is undermining the dollar over the long term by imposing new sanctions not only against Russia, but against its allies as well.

US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew Washington from the Iran nuclear deal in May 2018 and reintroduced sanctions against Tehran in August.

The US withdrawal was met with worldwide criticism, particularly by other signatories to the international agreement. Britain, France, Russia, China, Germany and the European Union have stressed their compliance with the deal and their support for its proper implementation.
