Bolivia president Jeanine Anez said Thursday that she has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Iran PressAmerica: Three Cabinet ministers in the administration of Bolivian leader Jeanine Anez have also tested positive for the virus, including Health Minister Eidy Roca and Presidency Minister Yerko Nunez, who is hospitalized.

The infections in Venezuela, Brazil, and Bolivia, which is seeing a spike in cases, come after Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez tested positive in June and was briefly hospitalized.

Anez said she will remain in isolation for 14 days when another test will be done, but she will continue to work remotely from the presidential residence.

Bolivia’s health ministry estimated that the peak of infections would hit between August and September.

In Bolivia, there have been 44,113 confirmed cases and 1,638 deaths, with 13,354 people recovered from the virus.

According to the latest figures published by Johns Hopkins University, more than 12.3 million cases have been detected with the virus worldwide, with at least  557,000 deaths, and 7,188,000 people have recovered.
