Iran Press/ Iran News: Iran's Health Ministry officials have taken delivery of a batch consisting of over 1 million doses of AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccines in Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport on Friday.
The first shipment of the vaccine arrived in the country last Friday, containing more than one million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine produced in Japan.
Vaccines imported from several countries, including Russia, India, Italy, South Korea and Japan have been imported to Iran.
Mass vaccination against COVID-19 started on Iranian citizens with Sputnik V on February 9.
The Islamic Republic is currently producing vaccines jointly with three countries of Cuba, Russia, and Australia, which may also be released by September, while two homegrown vaccines have so far received the emergency use license.
