"I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the people of the region over the painful and tragic incident at the coal mine in Tabas, where several miners lost their lives or were injured. I urge the rescue teams, dispatched by government authorities to the site, to exert the utmost effort in saving the trapped individuals and take every necessary action to mitigate the impact of this calamity. Immediate attention must also be given to the condition of the injured."
Ayatollah Khamenei's call for immediate and comprehensive rescue operations underscores the gravity of the incident and the nation's solidarity with the affected families during this difficult time.
This is while more than 50 people have lost their lives and a number of others sustained injuries after a huge explosion caused by a gas leak at a coal mine in the eastern Iranian province of South Khorasan.
