Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Iran Saeed Khatibzadeh, pointing to the recent remarks of the US Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo, has said that Pompeo’s fantasy world is not a safe place for anyone.

Iran PressIran News: Responding to a question by Iran Press on Sunday morning, Saeed khatibzadeh said that the message to Washington is clear, which it must return to the international community, and its commitment and stop banditry and rebellion.

Rejecting Pompeo's claim that returning imposed sanctions by the UN on Iran will change the world to a safe place, Khatibzadeh noted: "The US actions left the world with nothing but violence and insecurity."

The official went on to say that the ominous legacy of the US presence in the region is nothing but defeat and destruction.

"The US has added one more rebellion action to its list, so it is facing its worst days and hours," Khatibzadeh stressed, adding that the US is standing on the wrong side of history.

"Tehran’s message to Washington is to return to the world community and its commitments, stop rebellion and banditry so that the world community hosts you," he added.

The spokesman for the diplomatic apparatus continued the recent developments in foreign policy and continued: "FM Zarif had telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of St. Vincent and Armenia, as well as the acting foreign minister of Afghanistan. In the coming days, a virtual general assembly will be held, and Zarif will give a speech Monday night, local time, and the president will deliver a speech on Tuesday."
