The people of Kashmir have held anti-US and anti-Israeli demonstrations, calling on the UN to confront America's criminal policies.

 Iran Press/Asia: Taking part in a protest, Kashmiris have condemned the US and Zionist regime's policies toward the peoples of the world.

The protesters strongly condemned US and Israel’s atrocities and criminal behaviour and urged the United Nations to end its silence, Iran Press reported.

They also burned US flags and chanted slogan against US and Zionist regime's officials.

Protesters said the US is the root of differences and tensions in the region and it's policies threaten the world.

They also  urged UN and other international associations to confront with US criminal policies.

Kashmir has been divided between India and Pakistan since 1947.

The mountainous region has a long history of conflict and is one of the most heavily militarised places on Earth.

Despite a ceasefire agreement that was reached between India and Pakistan in November 2003, sporadic skirmishes continue in Kashmir.

Armed battles between Indian forces and militants over the years have killed nearly 70,000 people, mostly civilians. 101/202
