Protesters hold up signs in Seoul as they gathered before US embassy

Hundreds of the South Koreans gathered together before the US embassy to protest against US, saying the US is responsible for fruitless talks between USA and North Korea.

Iran Press/Asia: Hundreds of South Koreans protested outside the US Embassy in Seoul's Gwanghwamun Square on Saturday, carrying placards.

According to Iran Press, the protesters were calling for ending the Korean War and they also asked the United States to loosen its policy against North Korea.

The protesters also held US responsible for not reaching an agreement with North Korean Leader, Kim Jong-Un.

The protest came almost a year after the June 12 Singapore Declaration between US President and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump have signed a comprehensive joint document after their summit in Singapore.

According to photographs of the text signed by the two sides, Trump has vowed to provide security guarantees to the DPRK, while North Korea commits to 'work towards' complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Kim, Trump sign comprehensive joint document

On February 27, 2019, Kim Jong Un and Trump met in Hanoi for their second summit, eight months after they pledged to work towards the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and improve ties.

Speaking at a televised press conference in Hanoi, Vietnam, US president Donald Trump has admitted that he did not reach an agreement with North Korean Leader, Kim Jong-Un, on the subject of denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, Iran Press reported. Speaking to journalists and reporters in Hanoi, Trump said Kim Jong-Un's vision is not exactly our vision.

President Trump also said the North Korean Leader has promised him that he won't be testing any nuclear weapons this year.

Trump also rejected a request by Kim Jong-Un to lift sanctions on North Korea. The summit ended with no agreement on denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. In late 2017, both were exchanging threats, with Trump calling Kim 'little rocket man' and Kim calling Trump a 'mentally deranged dotard'.
