Iran Press/ Middle East: Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier-General Yahya Saree said on Saturday morning that the Yemeni air defense shot down a made-in-US 'Scan Eagle' drone as it was carrying out espionage operations over the al-Joubah region in Marib province.
According to Brigadier-General Saree, it was the seventh Scan Eagle drone downed by the Yemeni army since the beginning of the current year.
With the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, Saudi Arabia has launched a military invasion on Yemen since March 2015.
The outbreak of war by Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen has so far killed and injured hundreds of thousands of Yemenis and displaced 4 million.
