Iran Press/Iran news: Richard Brennan on the sideline of the visit of the World Health Organization (WHO) delegation and COVID-19 public health experts to Iran added, "A comprehensive and coordinated approach is currently being implemented in Iran, especially in the areas of patient management, laboratories and risk communication, the steady steps have been taken.
He also said, "We were also impressed by the interaction with other parts of the society, with officials and health officials working very clearly and committed to control the outbreak and to save lives. Iranian government uses the powerful national health system and disaster management capabilities to respond to this outbreak.
"However, more needs to be done. Based on the evidence-based experiences of China and other countries, we have agreed to build capacity in many priority areas with national health authorities, with useful negotiations, Brennan said, noting that we had good talks on developed methods of collecting and analyzing epidemiological data that are key to better understanding the evolution of the outbreak and taking appropriate measures to control the disease.", the official stated.
