Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei countered the German Chancellor's statements regarding the 12-day war by releasing video footage of a missile attack on Tehran's Tajrish neighborhood.

The big picture:

During the 12-day Israeli war on Iran and the assassination of Iranian scientists and military commanders, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz supported Israel’s attacks on Iran, calling it "dirty work Israel is doing for all of us."

What he’s saying:

Esmail Baghaei, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, released a video clip showing blasts at Tajrish square after Israeli Rampage missile attacks  at the civilian and commercial area of Tehran’s Tajrish Square on 15 June.

"This is the moment when the Israeli aggressor regime is doing 'dirty work' for the German Chancellor on the streets of Tehran: Firing missiles at civilians, hurling cars and people into the air from the blast’s impact, and killing civilians in broad daylight!" he wrote sarcastically.

He added: "This is the same dirty work the Israeli regime has carried out for decades in occupied Palestine and across the region, with the West’s continued encouragement!"

"Eternal shame on the supporters and apologists of this warmongering regime, who have knowingly placed themselves on the wrong side of history!"
