Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on September 15, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of more than 3 million tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than 620 million USD on its physical market.

Iran PressIran news: According to a report by the IME, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade more than 2.4 million tonnes of commodities valued at nearly 349 million USD.

On this floor, the IME sold more than 1.2 million tonnes of cement, 707,000 tonnes of iron ore, 303,467 tonnes of steel, 163,100 tonnes of sponge iron, 46,135 tonnes of zinc, 4,980 tonnes of aluminum, and 67 tonnes of copper.

Moreover, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 527,595 tonnes of commodities worth more than 255 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 211,589 tonnes of bitumen, 181,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 95,617 tonnes of polymeric products, 32,286 tonnes of chemicals, 4,248 tonnes of oil, 1,250 tonnes of sulfur, 702 tonnes of petroleum products, 550 tonnes of waterproofing materials and 530 tonnes of feedstocks.

The IME also traded 15,293 tonnes of goods in the same week on its side market.
