US newspaper: Iran Satellite Launch Reveals Gains in Missile Program

The US newspaper, Wall Street Journal called the recent satellite launching in Iran, an important achievement in the country's missile program.

Iran PressAmerica: "Launching a satellite into space is a very complex program with very sophisticated technology, and if Iran wants, it can go beyond that," Wall Street Journal reported.

The paper also added that US officials and experts see the launching of the satellite as a milestone fueling development of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

The WSJ also called Iran's peaceful space program a threat to Europe and the United States and claimed that Iran could use the technology to develop missiles capable of reaching Europe and the US.

Noor', as the first military satellite of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was launched on April 22 and placed into the orbit at an altitude of 425 km.

This is considered as a great achievement in the Iranian space industry. 207
