Iran Press/Iran News: Attending his weekly press conference, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh responded to Iran Press question on the US secretary of state’s recent claims, who allegedly said that Iran has not stayed committed to its nuclear agreements emphasizing that this is the US which not only left JCPOA (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of action) but also violated its commitments according to UN 2231 resolution.
Khatibzadeh went on to say that the US present government would better return to the commitments which were signed by its government.
“The US would better take actions rather than making a speech, ”he highlighted.
The US government needs a strong will to lift sanctions, afterward, Iran will take necessary actions after verification.
Responding to the second question of Iran Press on Saudi Arabia’s latest claims saying that Iran’s control over its behavior creates peace and stability in the region, Khatibzadeh said that Saudi Arabia must make its decision whether to stay as a constructive partner in the region or not.
"Saudi Arabi would better change its former tone of speech and leave its war-mongering and policies in the region, the spokesman added.
"We are waiting for Riyadh to change its policy and behavior," Khatibzadeh noted.
"Iran’s policy in the region does not change and we have always welcomed Saudi Arabia’s constructive contribution if they put their present policy aside, Saeed Khatibzadeh concluded.
