Tehran (IP) - Talking to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Iran's President stresses that the country does oppose any geopolitical change in the Caucasus region.

Iran PressIran News: Responding to a phone call from the Armenian PM Nicol Padshiniyan on Monday, Ebrahim Raisi said that Iran's Armenia's recognition of each other's territorial integrity is a great step to deepen the bilateral ties.

Raisi stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is against any geopolitical change or the military presence of the West in the Caucasus because the presence of foreigners not only solves no problem but also causes new problems. 

Emphasizing the expedition of implementing bilateral agreements between Armenia and Iran, the Iranian president noted that the borders of the two countries must get away from the current security atmosphere and turn into trade borders. 

In line with its neighbor-centric policy, Tehran attaches great importance and priority to expanding cooperation with the South Caucasus region he said. 

The Prime Minister of Armenia, for his part, presented President Raisi with a detailed report on the latest status of peace talks with the Republic of Azerbaijan.
