Iran Press/ Iran News: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won the presidential election on Sunday in a tense run-off after he failed to secure more than 50 percent of the votes required for an outright victory in the first round on May 14.
Congratulating Recep Tayyip Erdogan over his re-election as Turkiye's President, Ebrahim Raisi told his Turkish counterpart that in the new era, the economic, political, security, cultural, and commercial relations between the two countries should be further expanded.
Erdogan, for his part, said that in the new term ahead, the expansion of relations between his country and the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue with more strength and seriousness in various fields.
He stressed the more serious continuation of regional talks with the participation of Iran, Turkiye, Syria, and Russia, such that it would lead to more effective results for the enhancement of stability of the region.
