Hundreds marked the martyrdom anniversary of Prophet Mohammad's grandson, the Chief of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the Austrian capital, Vienna. Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is the symbol of resistance against oppression. The choice made by Imam Hussein ( peace be upon him) and his small group of family members and companions (peace be upon them), has been a source of inspiration for not just Muslims but for all of humanity, throughout history.

With the arrival of the mourning month of Muharram , flag replacement ceremony was held in Karbala, and the red flags of the holy shrine of the Chief of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), replaced with black ones to mark the start of the month of mourning.
