Japan to allocate about $1.8 million for ex-PM Abe's state funeral

The Japanese government is arranging to use approximately 250 million yen, or roughly $1.8 million, from the general reserve fund in the budget for fiscal 2022 toward former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's state funeral slated for Sept. 27, according to sources close to the government.
