Beirut (IP) – Sirens echoed across northern occupied territories early Thursday as Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets in retaliation to the Israeli attacks on civilian targets across Lebanon in recent weeks.

Iran Press/ West Asia: According to Israeli media, sirens were activated in more than 130 locations, from Al-Jalil (Galilee) to Nazareth, as residents were urged to take shelter. The warning signals began shortly before 3:30 am local time, alerting communities in northern occupied territories of the incoming rocket fire.

Hezbollah’s operation is a direct response to ongoing Israeli barbaric actions in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military confirmed that several rockets had struck areas west of the city of Tiberias. While Israel’s air defense systems reportedly attempted to intercept the projectiles, local reports suggest that some rockets successfully penetrated the Iron Dome's defenses.

In addition to the northern attack, sirens were also heard in occupied territories’ southern regions, including the Arava and Negev, after an Israeli army post on social media confirmed the interception of a drone over the Mediterranean Sea before it could enter its airspace.
