Iran Press/ Iran News: A yet anonymous individual set fire to an old man as he was going out of a mosque in the street in Birmingham, the UK.
In a tweet on Thursday, Nasser Kanani said that setting fire to an old Muslim man in the street before the eyes of the people in Birmingham was a horrendous and shocking act.
Kanaani called on the UK government to immediately investigate the brutal act and release the results of the investigation.
Of course, the recent reports published about institutionalized racism in the British police were also contributing to the happening of such criminal actions, he pointed out.
The young unknown man approached the old man, and after a few minutes of talking, he splashed a highly flammable liquid on him and burnt him.
Violence, especially stabbing, is rife in the UK such that according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), there were around 45,000 offenses involving a knife or sharp instrument in England and Wales in the year ending March 2022.
