Dakar(IP)- Following the tragic crash that claimed the lives of Iran's president, Senegal's Foreign affairs minister, and other dignitaries have expressed their condolences and solidarity through a memorial book.

Iran PressAfrica: This was organized at Iran's Embassy in Dakar.

Many dignitaries attended it among them Senegal's Foreign Affairs Minister, Yassine Fall, and other diplomats based in Dakar like the ambassador of Russia, Turkey, and Palestine.

All of them are mourning the tragic moment faced by the people of Iran. They are expressing here shock and sadness mentioning the pivotal role that The Islamic Republic of Iran plays for the Islamic Ummah. 

Our correspondent in Dakar visited the Iranian Embassy.

President Raisi was returning from a ceremony to open a dam on Iran’s border with Azerbaijan on Sunday when his helicopter crashed in Varzaqan, northwestern Iran, on Sunday.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and some senior provincial officials were also on board the helicopter who were all martyred.
