The Director-General of Rosatom called Martyred President a close friend of Russia, and the one person who did a lot to promote strategic cooperation between the two sides in the peaceful use of atomic energy.

Iran PressIran news: In a message to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Alexey Likhachev, the Director General of Rosatom said: "The Russian nuclear industry staff was deeply shocked when they received the news of the tragic martyrdom of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, and a group of his companions."

The message continued that President Raisi was not only the president of a friendly state, a close friend of Russia, but also a person who did a lot to promote strategic cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in the peaceful use of atomic energy.

The message also read: "Dear Mr. Eslami, please convey our sincere condolences to Martyred Raisis’s family and friends, our friends and colleagues at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and the entire Iranian people. We mourn with you in this difficult time of sorrow." 219
